Stages of production of the plot
1. Develop an idea or get a job.
2. Information gathering: search the Internet, study press releases, previously filmed on this subject, etc.
3. Development of a general idea (concept) of the plot. It is necessary, first, to understand what the main idea of the plot is, and secondly, whom, what, where and when should be removed in order to illustrate this idea. You need to do this before the filming begins, although in the process the idea can be seriously corrected. However, you should never go to the shooting "with an empty head."
4. Discussion of the plan with the editor. He can prompt additional information, throw an idea, thus the plot will acquire "volume", from particulars it will be possible to make a certain generalization.
5. "Phone stage": call with potential characters of the plot in order to understand the details and agree on filming.
6. Discuss the idea with the operator. He must understand what he has to shoot. The author, remember: television is a picture, and the operator is a companion for creativity!
7. Departure for shooting. A set of videos, recording sync and standup.
8. View the video you shot. In this case it is desirable to mark the time code of the most successful or important personnel, potential lives.
9. Interpretation of synchro and standup. The task is to transfer text literally to paper (or to a computer), and also to record the duration by time-code.
10. Writing the text of the plot.
11. Self-edit: reading text to check the logic of the narrative (not to jump from one to another) and search for language errors.
12. Reading out the text with the editor.
13. Stuffing offscreen text.
14. Installation. This is done by the editor, but the author can be present and suggest ideas.
15. Review of the finished plot. Quality control, in particular, the correctness of all titles.
